On-Site Engagement for Continuous Improvement | Geron Steel Wire Advances Phase Summary of Ongoing On-Site Enhancement Initiatives

On June 24, Geron Steel Wire launched its annual on-site continuous improvement campaign. Over a month later, each team submitted their initial progress reports. On August 6, participants reconvened for the 2020 Phase 1 Summary Session, sharing experiences, insights, and reflections to further drive improvement efforts.

Improvement Achievements Sharing

Teams presented their on-site enhancement results from the previous month, highlighting key accomplishments and lessons learned during implementation.

Progress Review

Production Manager Jiang Guoping delivered a comprehensive review of the campaign's first phase. He commended teams for their achievements while addressing critical gaps, including: inconsistent labeling and positioning of trial materials and safety risks in waste wire storage. Emphasizing that "improvement should stem from innovation, not mere compliance", Jiang outlined optimized scoring criteria and adjusted evaluation metrics. The session concluded with the announcement of team rankings based on performance benchmarks.

Leadership Address

General Manager Cao Zhiqiang concluded the event with remarks acknowledging employees' dedication. He stressed that the true value of on-site improvement lies in sustained commitment: "Last year's initiative laid a solid foundation. This year, we must deepen our efforts by fostering a culture of innovation and proactive problem-solving. Every employee must embrace improvement as a mindset—addressing root causes, optimizing daily workflows, and advancing toward operational excellence."
