To celebrate the Party's birthday and uphold the spirit of Party members in the new era, the Third United Party Branch of Wuchan Geron gathered at the Employee Cultural Activity Center on the afternoon of July 1st for a themed Party Day event titled “Celebrating July 1st, Strengthening Party Spirit, and Upholding Founding Ideals”. The event was graced by the presence of Tang Huajun, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of Wuchan Geron, and Chairman of Geron Special Steel Wire, who provided guidance and insights.
Hosted by Yang Haijia, a member of the Party branch committee, the event unfolded through five key agendas: a themed Party lecture, Party member experience sharing, revisiting the Party admission oath, a study-sharing session by the Party branch secretary, and closing remarks from headquarters leadership.
[Themed Party Lecture]
Qiu Chunying, Deputy Secretary of the Third United Party Branch of Wuchan Geron, delivered a lecture titled “Xi Jinping's Discourse on Investigation and Research”. She emphasized that “investigation and research are the foundation for planning and the path to success; without investigation, there is no right to speak; without investigation, there is no right to decide”, offering attendees a comprehensive understanding of the importance of thorough research.
[Party Member Experience Sharing]
The event featured speeches from Party members celebrating 10-year, 20-year, and 30-year Party membership anniversaries. Their stories—rooted in their original aspirations, relentless problem-solving spirit, and commitment to lifelong learning—epitomized the “Geron Steel Legion” ethos. Moving forward, this spirit will continue to inspire and guide the entire steel wire sector, empowering the “Steel Legion” to lead all employees with courage and perseverance.
[Revisiting the Party Admission Oath]
As Party members opened their political birthday cards inscribed with the Party admission oath, memories of their initial commitment flooded back. Through reflecting on their founding ideals, handwriting the oath, and reaffirming their pledge under the Party flag, attendees reconnected with their original aspirations and deepened their loyalty.
[Party Branch Secretary's Study Sharing]
Liu Guoqiang, Secretary of the Third United Party Branch of Wuchan Geron, shared insights on the “Xibaipo Spirit: Forge Ahead with Determination and Seize the Day”. He summarized past achievements and successful experiences while outlining future development goals. He urged all Party members to internalize the Xibaipo Spirit, maintaining humility, prudence, and a tireless work ethic to deliver outstanding results in the steel wire sector's ongoing “examination”.
[Headquarters Leader's Closing Remarks]
In his concluding speech, Tang Huajun called on all Party members to remain true to their original mission and continue championing the spirit of daring to struggle, excelling in struggle, and striving for victory. He highlighted three dimensions for progress: unity and collaboration, innovation-driven growth, and value creation. He encouraged the steel wire team to not only inherit the hardworking and tenacious spirit of past generations but also foster a new era of innovative thinking—advancing technological, scientific, operational, and managerial breakthroughs to secure lasting success.
Finally, Tang Huajun urged all Party members to exemplify vanguard leadership, with Party cadres taking the lead in embracing new challenges. He emphasized the need for proactive responsibility and dedication to drive high-quality development in the steel wire sector, forging ahead with determination and striving with unwavering resolve to honor the Party's birthday with outstanding achievements.
